Character Background and Description

David Yeun is your quintessential recently graduated starving artist. Growing up he found more enjoyment in paints and pastels then math textbooks. He worked 2 jobs to get through art school, ready to take the art scene by storm, only to find door after door slammed in his face. No gallery would take his work and without a gallery’s publicity no one would commission him. He moved to Brookhaven with a friend after hearing about the rising art scene. The two live in a small apartment on the Kulza side of town but aside from a convenience store robbery and an unusually abandoned nightclub, they haven’t seen anything too odd. Yeun and his roomate have recently landed an exhibition at the Leicah Community Art Gallery, opening them up to the community. The exhibition was well received by the public and, much to Yeun’s surprise, landed them several commissions and a large, anonymous donation of $100,000. They have no idea who left them the money, only that it’s not uncommon for young artists to receive a boost “from the community” or so the gallery curator told them. For now, Yeun is content to focus on his new commissions and not having to worry about skipping meals to pay rent. If the mysterious mafia wanted to sponsor him then who was he to dig any deeper?
[The Kulza Family did in fact sponsor Yeun and his friend, they are frequent visitors to the Leicah Gallery and are always eager to fund new talent. They put a good word in to several associates who then commissioned Yeun but the Family is waiting to see the results before commissioning anything for themselves (although they are already scouting out places in their various companies for a nice sculpture).]
